I was very honored and humbled to be a part of the Ambitious Girls Conference as a a guest speaker. One thing I do not like to do is public speaking. I have always had a passion for mentoring teenage girls. My personal testimony from teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, domestic violence, and suicide attempt is part of my life story I know God has led me to share, but the problem is public speaking is something I dread no matter how many times He calls me to do it.
Today was an amazing experience. I was completely empowered by so many of the beautiful women who spoke before me and I was honored to tell my story in front of about 100 beautiful young ladies. I had no intention of speaking, but the conviction from the Holy Spirit kept telling me I needed to tell my story...and I needed to be a part of the Ambitious Girls Conference. Doubt, Fear, and even lack of confidence are some things even now as an adult I struggle with. Satan has a way of trying to block your ministry by throwing up your past mistakes. Mistakes Im not ashamed of, but mistakes that most people often judge me by even if it is in the past. That is why It is so important to put fear aside and trust God. You never know how God will use you to bless someone else or allow someone to be a blessing to you. I truly enjoyed my time and Im a grateful and deeply humbled that Mrs. Akissi(the founder of Ambitious Girls) chose me to be apart of such a powerful movement.
